Lying Laura Friedman Dodges Support for George Gascón in Heated Exchange with Constituent

The recent video exchange between Laura Friedman and a constituent is yet another reminder of why "Lying Laura" can’t be trusted when it comes to public safety. As voters in California’s 30th Congressional District prepare to cast their ballots, it’s important to remember what’s at stake. Friedman has been caught red-handed, dodging accountability and trying to walk back her support for George Gascón, the DA who is projected to lose in a landslide due to his disastrous policies.

In the video, Friedman is asked point-blank about her support for Gascón. First, she tries to deny that she endorsed him, but when pushed, she stumbles through a series of weak excuses, citing the LA Times as her reason for following along. It’s the same old trick: shift the blame, dodge the question, and avoid accountability at all costs. Classic "Lying Laura."

Friedman even admits she doesn’t know why Gascón doesn’t have the support of his own staff—an alarming confession from someone who wants to continue representing the people of Southern California. If she can’t grasp the reasons why crime is on the rise or why Gascón’s policies have failed, how can she possibly make decisions that keep our communities safe?

Contrast that with Alex Balekian, who doesn't mince words. In the video, Balekian stands firm: the failed policies of George Gascón and those who support him, like Laura Friedman, are making our neighborhoods less safe. While Friedman squirms under the pressure of a simple question, Balekian delivers a clear message to voters: it’s time for Los Angeles to wake up, take public safety seriously, and vote differently.

Friedman’s track record shows she’s willing to say anything to stay in power. Whether it’s misleading voters about her support for Gascón or offering vague, noncommittal answers when questioned, she continues to show that she can’t be trusted. Voters have caught onto her game, and the video is just the latest example of why "Lying Laura" needs to go.

As the race heats up, the choice between Alex Balekian and Laura Friedman becomes clearer by the day. Balekian stands for accountability, transparency, and, most importantly, public safety. Friedman, on the other hand, continues to support a DA who’s losing support from every corner, all while pretending she hasn’t endorsed him.

This November, Southern Californians have the chance to reject the failed policies of Gascón and Friedman. Vote for Alex Balekian and send a message that we want leaders who tell the truth and prioritize public safety. Enough with the lies, enough with the dodging—it's time for a change.
